- Peel The Onion
- Place on a plate or in a small bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds.
- Remove from the microwave and chop!
I did experience a little watering in the eyes; however, overall, the method proved pretty tear free for me.
I used a Vidalia onion, so I don't know if the type of onion makes a difference as to whether you shed any tears or how many.
My conclusion: I find this method worthwhile and the best I've tried yet to avoid tears when chopping an onion. Enjoy!
